Personal Data
Personal data is data about you. This includes your name, address and email address. You do not have to disclose any personal data in order to visit our website. In some cases, we require your name and address, as well as further information, in order to provide you with the service you have requested.
The same applies if we send you information material at your request or if we respond to your enquiries. In these cases, we will always inform you accordingly. Furthermore, we only store data that you have provided to us automatically or voluntarily.
When you use one of our services, we generally only collect the data that is necessary to provide you with our service. We may ask you for further information, but this is voluntary. Whenever we process personal data, we do so in order to provide you with our service or to pursue our commercial objectives.
Automatically stored data
Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Date and time of the request
- Name of the file requested
- Page from which the file was requested
- Access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
- Web browser and operating system used
- Full IP address of the requesting computer
- Transmitted data volume
This data is not merged with other data sources. Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.
For technical security reasons, in particular to defend against attempts to attack our web server, we store this data for a short period of time. We cannot draw any conclusions about individual persons from this data. After no more than seven days, the data is anonymised by shortening the IP address to domain level, so that it is no longer possible to establish a link to the individual user. The data is also processed in anonymised form for statistical purposes; it is not compared with other data sets or passed on to third parties, even in excerpts. The number of page views is only presented in our server statistics, which we publish every two years in our activity report.
Cookies
When you visit our website, we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Cookies are small files that are transferred from an internet server to your browser and stored on your hard drive. Only the internet protocol address is stored – no personal data. This information stored in the cookies allows us to automatically recognise you when you visit our website again, making it easier for you to use. The legal basis for the use of cookies is the legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
The storage of information or access to information in terminal equipment is carried out exclusively on the basis of active consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR in conjunction with § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, unless this is technically necessary.
We use a consent management tool that is displayed when you first visit our website. This allows you to decide individually which categories of cookies and services you wish to allow. You can revoke your consent at any time using the tool.
Of course, you can also visit our website without accepting cookies. If you do not want your computer to be recognised on your next visit, you can also refuse the use of cookies by changing the settings in your browser to ‘Reject cookies’. You will find the respective procedure in the operating instructions for your browser. However, if you refuse the use of cookies, this may result in restrictions in the use of some areas of our website.
Cookiebot
Our website uses Cookiebot consent technology to obtain your consent to store certain cookies on your device or to use certain technologies and to document this in accordance with data protection regulations. This technology is provided by Cybot A/S, Havnegade 39, 1058 Copenhagen, Denmark (hereinafter referred to as ‘Cookiebot’). When you enter our website, a connection to the Cookiebot servers is established to obtain your consent and other declarations regarding the use of cookies. Cookiebot then stores a cookie in your browser to assign the consents you have given or revoked to you. The data collected in this way is stored until you request its deletion, delete the Cookiebot cookie yourself or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory legal storage obligations remain unaffected. Cookiebot is used to obtain the legally required consent for the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR. We have concluded a contract for order processing (AV) in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR with the above-mentioned provider. This is a contract required by data protection law, which ensures that the provider only processes the personal data of our website visitors in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
Google Tag Manager
This website uses Google Tag Manager. The Tag Manager does not collect any personal data. The tool triggers other tags, which may collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been carried out at domain or cookie level, this remains in place for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager. Google's privacy policy for this tool can be found here: https://www.google.com/analytics/tag-manager/use-policy/Google Analytics with anonymisation function
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as ‘Google’, on our website. Google Analytics uses ‘cookies’, which are text files placed on your device that enable an analysis of your use of the website.
The information generated by these cookies, such as the time, place and frequency of your website visit, including your IP address, is transferred to Google in the USA and stored there. The data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses approved by the EU Commission in accordance with Art. 46 (2) lit. c GDPR. Google has committed itself to complying with the EU's data protection requirements. Nevertheless, there is a risk that US authorities may access your data without you having any effective legal protection against this.
We use Google Analytics with the addition ‘_gat._anonymizeIp’ on our website. In this case, your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and thus anonymised.
Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports on website activity for us and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google.
According to its own information, Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website.
Furthermore, Google offers a deactivation add-on for the most common browsers, which gives you more control over what data Google collects from the websites you visit. The add-on informs Google Analytics' JavaScript (ga.js) that no information about your website visit should be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, the Google Analytics browser opt-out add-on does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services we may use. For more information on installing the browser add-on, please visit the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
If you visit our site via a mobile device (smartphone or tablet) and delete your cookies, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted. In this case, you will need to click on the deactivation link again.
If you have agreed that your web and app browsing history may be linked to your Google account and that information from your Google account may be used to personalise ads, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data to create target group lists for cross-device remarketing. To do this, Google Analytics first collects your Google-authenticated ID on our website, which is linked to your Google account (i.e. personal data). Google Analytics then temporarily links your ID to your Google Analytics data to optimise our target groups. If you do not agree to this, you can prevent Google Analytics cookies from being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. Please note that this may result in limited use of our website.
Google Doubleclick
Doubleclick by Google is a service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (‘Google’). Doubleclick by Google uses cookies to present advertisements that are relevant to you. Your browser is assigned a pseudonymous identification number (ID) to check which ads have been displayed in your browser and which ads have been accessed. The cookies do not contain any personal information. The use of DoubleClick cookies enables Google and its partner websites to display ads based on previous visits to our website or other websites on the Internet. The information generated by the cookies is transferred to a server in the USA for evaluation and stored there.
The transfer is based on the standard contractual clauses (SCCs) in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR. Google will only transfer the data to third parties if required by law or within the scope of order data processing. Under no circumstances will Google combine your data with other data collected by Google.
By using our websites, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google and the manner of data processing described above, as well as the purpose specified. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of our websites to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookies and relating to your use of the websites and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link, under the item DoubleClick deactivation extension. Alternatively, you can also deactivate the Doubleclick cookies with this opt-out.

We use YouTube to embed videos. The videos have been embedded in extended data protection mode. Like most websites, YouTube also uses cookies to collect information about visitors to its website. YouTube uses this information to compile video statistics, prevent fraud and improve user-friendliness, among other things. This also leads to a connection being established with the Google DoubleClick network. When you start the video, this may trigger further data processing operations. We have no influence over this. For more information about data protection at YouTube, please refer to their privacy policy at: http://www.youtube.com/t/privacy_at_youtube
